Cullen Hoback is a Portland based filmmaker with a flair for finding normalcy in the seemingly strange. Hoback's films have been described as having a visual aesthetic that rings of Wes Anderson and a humor reminiscent of Michel Gondry. His commercial work has aired on MTV, VH1, and The Documentary Channel. His independent films have shown at the best film festivals around the world. Some wins include "Best Documentary," Cinequest, and "Grand Jury Prize," New York International. Hoback worked as Head of Production at Clear Sky Pictures, and now runs Hyrax Films. He's a little crazy, and works all elements of production when necessary. He likes watching water boil and elderly couples hold hands.
