Eric Goldstein is currently a World Geography and Sociology teacher at The SEED Public Charter School in southeast DC, the country's only urban, college-preparatory, public boarding school. As a multicultural educator, Eric has taught in rural, urban and international communities in New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., China and Greece.

Since 1998 Eric has been president of The JAG Foundation, which financially supports high school students in Nassau County, New York who are committed to community development. He also chaired the Outings Program of the Vermont Sierra Club and was elected to the state board of directors for three years. Eric's interest in politics and environmental conservation started at Oneonta State College where he created a committee that reopened a 500-acre nature preserve scheduled for development.

Eric's primary mode of travel is bicycle. In 1999 he completed a 5000-mile, cross-country ride from New York to California that raised approximately $30,000 for four different, charitable organizations.
